Adaptive Therapies is like a second home. It’s a place where you can be yourself, where therapy is all about having fun, knowing that each of the therapists has “your back”, and is a safe place to learn, grow and increase your skills and strengths.
My son Aiden, who is 10, is a brain cancer survivor and has been seeing Ms Katie (PT) since he was 3 years old. Ms. Katie has worked with him and given him the tools and skills to relearn how to strengthen his muscles, develop his ability to balance and walk. While these are developing and ongoing needs it is amazing and wonderful to see the progress he has made with her. She has always been his cheerleader and has encouraged him through all his therapies and she has seen to it that he has the specific therapy tools he needs for home, school and community.
Ms. Amanda (OT) has worked with Aiden off and on over the last 6 years. She too has been a huge part of helping him regain the use of fine motor skills, coordination, practical life skills, all the while making it fun. She has been another wonderful cheerleader for Aiden, encouraging him all along the way as he learned or relearned skills needed for more independence.
Adaptive Therapies is a place where all are made to feel that they matter, where milestones are celebrated and challenges are met with a “we can do this attitude”. It’s a family friendly environment, where all are welcomed and are able to be a part of the team. Everyone you meet at Adaptive Therapies is welcoming, ready to help in any way and help you achieve your goals.
